Today, I wanted to give the spotlight to our Glowstone Series. My name is Tyler and I have known Patrick Adair for 6 years now. I watched his first iteration of glow ring designs and I own one of his first rings he’s ever made. I have recently joined the Patrick Adair Designs Team after seeing the impact they are making on the entire jewelry industry. The Glowstone Series is what made has made such an impact, taking Patrick from being a small unknown name in his garage, to a celebrated direct to consumer jewelry designer.
When he first started, he specialized primarily in carbon fiber. Soon Patrick started experimenting and incorporating different designs. One of the first, was a carbon fiber ring that he carefully created a channel in and inlaid with glow powder, CA glue and bits of real meteorite. I have one. I had owned other carbon fiber glow rings up to that point, but what blew me away was the intensity at which his ring glowed. It was so bright. I had to take it off at night because the light would often keep me awake.

Slowly but surely, Patrick designed more and more variations of this channel inlay ring. I talked to him about it recently and asked him what his inspiration was. Why he didn’t just cast a glow stripe into the channel or put it on the inside like so many others. Patrick told me, “I wanted to make it look real.” He then explained how the inspiration behind Patrick Adair Designs was to be “real and unapologetically authentic.” Suddenly his Glowstone creations stuck. The concept hit me hard. I got it.
